Mallinsons was formed when two teachers, Tara and Elaine, decided one Friday night that they needed to put their money where their mouths were. They started in a garage in Lindley in 2008 and moved to Lockwood in Huddersfield in 2012, brewing cask and bottle-conditioned ales. A tap house followed in 2016.
Mallinsons is a micro brewery based in Lockwood, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, brewing cask conditioned real ales and bottle conditioned beers, plus a range under their Briggs Signature Ales (BSA) name. Their beer range moves quickly, and names that come through include Lemondrop (3.8%), Nelson Sauvin (3.8%), Motueka (3.9%), Wappy Nick (3.8%) and Sail Away (4.3%): hop-forward names doing a lot of the talking.
