Zapato Brewing was founded in 2015 by Matt Gorecki, previously of North Bar Leeds, operating as a nomadic brewery before relocating to Holme Mills in Marsden, West Yorkshire in 2017. The taproom and bottle shop, the Zottleshop, sit beside a riverside beer garden in the Colne Valley, next to Dark Woods Coffee, whose beans it also sells. Beers include Thwock and Onwards, both gluten free.

The line-up runs from Beaucoup Weisse Apricot through to hoppy Zapatapale Nelson Sauvin and Zapatapale Cascade, plus Thwock and Onwards, all GF.
