Talking Tides began brewing in 2021 as Northern Beacon, rebranding to Talking Tides Brew Co in 2022. Based at Longbeck Industrial Estate in Marske-by-the-Sea, the brewery expanded significantly in 2024 with a larger kit and a canning line. Beers span session pales, DIPAs, stouts and continental-style lagers, sold through the brewery shop, its Marske taproom, and a new second bar, Crown Street Tap in Leeds, opened late 2025.
Talking Tides keep a proper spread on the go, from session-strength through to serious. Summit is a Session Pale at 3.8%, Landlubber an American IPA at 4.9%, and Barkside Of The Moon a NEIPA at 5.5%, while Sumo, a Supercharged IPA, comes in at 6.5% and Men In Grey Suits, a DIPA, hits 8%. There's darker ground covered too, with Northern Soul (a Modern Stout at 4.3%) and a Raspberry Sour at 5%, alongside Mungle Jungle rounding out the range.
