After years of searching for premises, Keswick found a suitable building and started work in December 2005. They sit on the site of the historic Keswick Brewery Company on Brewery Lane, calling themselves a small craft brewery with quality and environmental issues at its heart. The Fox Tap and tours are on site.
Keswick brew with local fell water, live yeast and Maris Otter malt, and split their range clearly into regulars and rotators. The core line-up runs Keswick Bitter, Keswick Gold and Thirst Quencher, plus the Fox series: Fox Dark, Fox Pale and KPA (Keswick Pale Ale). On top of that sits a Hop Series, aiming for a new cask release every month showcasing a particular hop, and a set of named seasonals through the year. They've also brewed Resist, an 8.5% anti-imperial stout, with all profits going to Red Cross humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Delivery is charged by weight for UK mainland, excluding the Highlands and Islands: £2.20 up to 100g, £4.50 to 1kg, £8.00 to 2kg, £13.99 to 30kg and £28.98 to 60kg. CA and LA postcodes pay £6.00 and £12.00 on the two largest bands. Usually 3–5 working days. Free next-day brewery collection, Monday to Friday 10am–5pm.
