Blue Anchor Brewery brews Spingo Ales at The Blue Anchor Inn in Helston, Cornwall: a pub going right back to the 1400s, when it started life as a monks' resting place. They have kept the ale flowing on site ever since. A proper bit of Cornish brewing history.
The Blue Anchor Inn brews using water from its own well. Now run by Ben and Jenine on behalf of Ben's parents, Kim and Simon Stone, it produces six Spingo ales: easy-drinking Middle (5%), roasted-and-coffee Ben's Stout (4.8%), caramel-toned Special (6.6%), fruit-cake-rich Extra Special (7.4%), floral and citrus Flora Daze (4%), and hoppy Jubilee IPA (4.5%).
