Brewery
Salisbury, South West
Stone Daisy takes its name from the medieval witch marks carved into the stone of its buildings on the Fonthill Estate in south-west Wiltshire. The beers sit at the traditional end of things - pale ale, best bitter and IPA. A good name, and a better story behind it.
Wiltshire Brewery's three beers are all named after real spots on the Fonthill Estate. Cow Down is a hoppy, zesty pale ale, "positively lacking in cow"; Snail Creep Hanging is a malty, citrus best bitter with, they promise, "not a hint of snail"; and Park Bottom is a fresh, citrus IPA with "a cheeky al fresco finish". All three are available in both cans and bottles: a small, place-rooted line-up with plenty of humour in the naming.
