Established in 1984 within the walls of The Old Mill, a Grade II listed building that originally served as an electricity generator for Netheravon Airfield in 1914, the brewery stands in a distinctive spot along the river Avon. Traditional English cask ale, brewed with Stonehenge spring water.
James and Nicola Robinson took over Stonehenge Ales in March 2022 to carry the legacy forward. Five core beers are on offer all year round, backed up by six rotating seasonals with their own monthly calendar: Old Smokey, a porter for January–February, right through to Rudolph, a strong bitter for December. Forty-plus years in and still one of Wiltshire's longest-running microbreweries.
