Vocation Brewery

Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire and the Humber

Vocation started when John Hickling left his job to follow his calling and brew the big, flavourful beers he loves. It is based in Hebden Bridge in the South Pennines, with taprooms there and in Halifax and Sheffield. The range runs from IPAs and pales to stouts, sours and lager.

Vocation Brewery's core range spans styles and strengths: Bread & Butter (3.9%) is the session-friendly dry-hopped pale, Heart & Soul (4.4%) their gluten-free session IPA, Crush Hour (4.6%) an everyday hazy pale, Hop, Skip & Juice (5.7%) a hazier pale still, up to the hoppy Life & Death (6.5%) and the boozier New England IPA Love & Hate (7.2%). Beyond that they run special editions – think Fiesta, a cactus and lime lager, Hopfenhaus wheat beer, the chocolatey Naughty & Nice Honeycomb Crunch stout, and stronger stuff like Fortune Teller double IPA and the 10% Rooted Riches stout.

Standard delivery is £6, free on orders over £50: the same rate applies to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. An adult over 18 needs to sign for the parcel.
