Turtle Head started the way a lot of good ideas do - a couple of beers and a conversation about raising money for charity. It is a family business in Nelson, Lancashire, giving half its profits to The Orange Foundation, and the beers are gluten-free and vegan across the range.
Turtle Head Brewing Co brews a solid spread of beers including Bricklayer (and a wheat-free version), Ghost, Magic, Ninja and Smooth, alongside more offbeat names like Colon the Caterpillar and Gorilla's Finger. Good beer with a genuinely good cause behind it.
