Moorhouse's has been brewing in Burnley since 1865, and is renowned locally for its mysterious and mystical beers - the brewery is synonymous with the myths and legends of Pendle Hill. That comes through in the names: Blonde Witch, White Witch, Moonbeam. It moved to a new facility on the same site in 2011.
Moorhouses brew in the shadow of Pendle Hill, with a settled core range in White Witch (a 500ml blonde ale), Blonde Witch and Biscuit Barrel Best Bitter (3.9%). Alongside that they're regularly experimenting with small batch seasonals: recent ones have included a Chocolate Orange Porter, a May-seasonal Black Moss Stout (4.9%) and Calder Citra Hazy Pale Ale (4.0%).
