Stories are important, as Renegade put it - how we share experiences, escape the everyday and build new tribes. Theirs started in 1995 on a five-barrel kit behind The Pot Kiln pub in Berkshire. Acquired by the Yattendon Group in 2021 and rebranded in 2022. Good Old Boy is the best known.
Renegade is an independent Berkshire brewery turning out fresh, award-winning beer. The line-up covers a lot of ground: Good Old Boy, Renegade Lager, Brewski Peach Lager, Blackguard Nitro Stout, Hazy Rider, Detour, Renegade Master, Retriever and Maharaja IPA among them. They run a Limited Edition line alongside it: 28 Haze Later, a hazy DDH IPA with pineapple, stone fruit and white grape notes; Country Pumpkin Stout, built on pumpkin, toffee and ginger; and Mon Cheri, a 4.2% cherry stout leaning on cherry and cocoa.
