Nick Stafford started this one at the bottom of his in-laws' garden in 1991 and it is still going: beer and merch online with brewery pick-up if you are local, plus contract brewing and bottling for other breweries. Thoroughbred Session IPA is the pick of the range.
Cask, keg and bottled beers sit alongside specials, with names including Session Pale, Nightmare Porter, Bootleggers Pale Ale and Thoroughbred Session IPA. Nightmare Porter has picked up serious silverware, winning Supreme Champion Winter Beer of Britain, and after years of work they released GFA: the first British-brewed gluten free beer. There's also Point Five for anyone after something lighter.
