Brewery
Firle, South East
Began as one brewer's dream, split between punchy hop-forward pales and the Belgian tradition. The first beer went out in autumn 2013, made in refurbished farm buildings in the village of Firle at the foot of the South Downs: a farmhouse brewery in the proper sense.
Burning Sky have been brewing and blending in Sussex since 2013, working across pretty much every style and format going. Pale ales New Alliance, Arise and This Time sit alongside IPAs Expression IPA Simcoe and Easy Answers (plus alcohol-free Low Life), while the wilder side runs to fruit beers, a Brett pale ale in Woven, an Italian-style pilsner in Luppoleto, and a gluten-free extra pale ale, Three Arms. In 750ml bottles there's mixed fermentation, beer-wine hybrids and spontaneously fermented Coolship. Every beer's vegan-friendly, in biodegradable, recyclable packaging.
Delivery to England, Wales and southern Scotland is £5.99; northern Scotland £12.99; Northern Ireland £12.90; UK offshore islands £14.99. Free shipping on orders over £75.
