Started as a nomadic project by a food and drink writer who spent years honing recipes at other people's breweries, before putting down roots in Lewes in 2020. There is a taproom and street-food canteen alongside now, and the range runs from crisp pilsners to imperial stouts.
Beak's founder is Daniel Tapper. Three of the names you'll see on the shelf are HUM, DÉŠŤ and PARADE, and there's a mixed pack if you fancy trying all three together. Beyond that trio the line-up stretches into IPAs, DIPAs and other styles, so there's plenty more to dig into.
