A modern twenty-barrel brewhouse on the edge of the North Pennines, working out of a former lead smelting mill that was once the industrial hub of the area. Established in 2006, and they lean happily on the local billing of the North Pennines as England's last wilderness.
Allendale Brewery brew across cask, keg, bottle and can, with a solid core lineup: Wolf, Hop On (a gluten-free pale ale), Wagtail Best Bitter, Anvil and Golden Plover. There's a diverse range of beer styles here, plus a dedicated 'Beers of the Past' section for brews that have come and gone. Buy them by the bottle or grab a full case of twelve if you know what you like. A proper spread for anyone after a classic bitter or something a bit different.
