Brewing on Hadrian's Wall since 2017, in the hamlet of Twice Brewed, which sits, marvellously, right next door to Once Brewed. The water comes from their own well, and the landscape gets a good deal of the credit in how they describe what they make.
Twice Brewed take their name from the hamlet itself - called Twice Brewed since at least the mid-1700s, and always home to an ale house. It's a state-of-the-art eco-brewery, feeding recycled malt waste to local farms and repurposing spent hops as garden fertiliser. The range covers a lot of ground: Follow The Critical Path, a 6.2% liquid hop IPA, Fauna, a 7% oaked red grape and cherry ale, the 8.7% Year Of Hibernation blackberry and chocolate imperial stout, and The Ghost Inside, a 5.8% Luminosa IPA.
