Wimbledon Brewery

London, London

The Wimbledon Brewery was started by William Cook in 1832, standing on Wimbledon High Street where the old fire station is today. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1889 and the name lives on in south-west London, with a taproom called The Tap. Proper heritage, still pouring.

Wimbledon Brewery's history includes descendants of William Cook who went on to found the famous Watney brewing empire. Beer's been brewed on this site even longer than that, mind: Merton Priory was brewing through the Middle Ages. The team see themselves as custodians of that heritage while brewing for a new generation of drinkers. Beers include Wimbledon IPA, Lager, Pale and Westie alongside Plough Lane Pale Ale and Common Pale Ale, plus cask releases and one-offs like the XXXK 2025 Vintage Ale, a hefty 10.5% bottle.

UK delivery is £4.
