Watts and Co started with a YouTube binge - a video of the White House kitchen brewing on the stovetop - and that was that. It began in a garage in 2014, moved to Debenham in Suffolk in 2016, and the beer turns up in pubs around the local area.

By 2015, pub owners at The Victoria Inn in Colchester were encouraging enough that Watts & Co. turned commercial. Fresh hops are sourced right from the village in Debenham. A 2021 crowdfunder funded kit upgrades and got canning going, and the range runs to three canned beers: Mixed Six variety pack, Paddington Lime Pale Ale, and Moonlight Bay Crystal Wheat Beer.
