Twisted Tree is a small family-run microbrewery in Oxfordshire, set up in 2024 on the Tusmore Estate by Mark and Peter. The idea is small-batch, artisanal beer made properly. There is no shop to browse day to day - they open up for scheduled open days instead.
Twisted Tree brew around the idea of "crafting complexity, rooted in simplicity": British ingredients doing the heavy lifting rather than gimmicks. Names include the CitraBloom IPA at 4.1% and the altogether bigger Dark Rootgasm Imperial Stout at 10%, alongside Trunk English Ale, a Blonde Ale and a Black IPA. They've also put out beers like WinterWood and Summer Sap, named for the time of year they land. It's a range that stretches from easy-drinking to properly heavyweight.
