The name is the Old English word for a settlement or community, which tells you what Tun Brewing is going for - beer as something that brings people together. It is a Chorlton, Manchester outfit brewing IPAs, pilsners, porters and stouts, without a brewhouse of its own.
Tūn Brewing's name nods to the mash tuns and lauter tuns of the brewing process itself. It was set up by Richard, a psychiatrist by profession, around the idea that drinking with purpose can foster healthier habits and deeper enjoyment. Their beers, available together as a mix pack, cover Archetype (a modern English IPA), Lemondrop (a dry hopped pilsner) and Little Monster from the Id (a New Zealand session pale ale), with a Winter Warmer spiced porter joining them in colder months. All beers are marketed as vegan, with several flagged gluten-free.
