In early 2016 Paul Medcraft started his home brewing journey in a little flat in New Mills, High Peak. Curiosity about how a craft ale was made turned into Thornsett Brewery and Hop Yard, now in a converted hay barn running off-grid. The British Hop Society calls it the North's first certified organic hop farm.
