Hive Mind started in 2018 in Matt's garage, converted into a micro-meadery, and has grown from there. Matt came from beekeeping, Kit joined him, and the taproom followed in 2019. They are based in Caldicot in South Wales, and their traditional mead took the Golden Fork for Wales in 2023.
Worth knowing before you go looking for beer here: Hive Mind are mead makers, not brewers. Founded in 2018 by Matt and Kit, they set out to bring real, authentic mead back as a contemporary alternative to beer, cider and wine, made from 100% British honey: because, as they put it, real honey isn't cheap, and cheap honey isn't real. Look out for their Wye Valley Traditional Mead, Pure Honey Sparkling Mead, Dark Cherry and Oak Whisky Barrel-Aged meads.
