Great Oakley started in 2005 in the small Northamptonshire village it is named after, and moved to Tiffield in 2012. It has stayed a family-run business throughout. Guy came on board in 2007 and he and his wife Rachel have been running the place since 2017.
Great Oakley was founded by partners Phil and Mike: Phil a long-serving CAMRA chairman and experienced home brewer, Mike bringing the business head and a set of stables ripe for converting. These days Guy and his wife Rachel keep ten ales in regular rotation, plus a growing number of one-off 'special event' ales. The core range runs to nine: Abbey Stout, Delapre Dark, Egret, Gobble, Tailshaker, Tiffield Thunderbolt, Wagtail, Welland Valley Mild and Wot's Occurring.
Delivery is currently taking around 7 days, though orders usually arrive within 48 hours.
