First brew went in on New Year's Day 2009, forty litres of pale ale in the family garage, and by their own account it wasn't quite what they had in mind. Sixteen years and a spell of cuckoo-brewing later, it's a twenty-strong team in a 7,000 square foot building in Buxton.
Buxton's core range spans a proper spread of styles: Thermal Shock, a crisp, clean and hoppy 4.5% Cold IPA; Gatekeeper, a smooth 4.1% Porter with coffee-grounds roastiness; and King Slayer, a boozy, fruity 8% Double IPA for when you want something bigger. Alongside that sits Let There Be Light, a 4% Summer Ale, plus a run of limited edition beers that come and go outside the core lineup. Something for most moods here, from an easy porter to a heavyweight double IPA.
Standard delivery to the UK mainland and Northern Ireland is £6.99, free on orders over £60. Brewery collection is free. No international delivery, including Jersey.
