Bridlington, Yorkshire and the Humber
An independent, family-run nano brewery in Hull: a husband, a wife and, by their own accounting, a dog. About as small as a commercial brewery gets, and they seem entirely happy about that.
Belschnickel's core six includes an original-style Gose brewed to the traditional recipe with coriander and salt, a hop-forward beer using a different hop combination each batch, a fuller-bodied Irish Extra Stout with biscuit, dark chocolate and coffee notes, a classic English Bitter loaded with East Kent Goldings, a crisp Saison fermented with a saison-and-wine-yeast blend, and a malt-and-noble-hop balanced beer. On top sit six named seasonal rotations, limited-edition collaborations Dudelsack (Scottish Export) and Schaffner (Coffee Porter), plus the Avenues and Mixed Fermentation collections of bottle-conditioned beers for ageing.
