Ashover Brew Co continues the name of the original Ashover Brewery, founded in Ashover, Derbyshire in 2007 by Roy Shorrock and Kim Beresford, which closed in 2020. Local residents revived it in Clay Cross, with Roy's daughter Janine Shorrock staying on as head brewer. The range includes the pale ale Zoo and the stout Coffin Lane.

Ashover Brew Co run a bottle shop stocked with their own award-winning beers, every one of them bottle conditioned, made and bottled right there at the brewery. The range is properly broad: sixteen beers and counting, from 1910 Porter and Victorian Ruby Mild to Milk Stout, Damson Porter, Liquorice and Hawaiian Shirt, alongside names like Font, Alton and White Lion. It's a cracking selection of ales, as they put it themselves, with 12-packs available on some. If you like your beer naturally conditioned in the bottle rather than force-carbonated, this is a range worth digging into.
