Tomos Watkin has been brewing Welsh ales and lagers since 1996, and it has stayed a family-owned brewery the whole way through - three different families now. The owners have changed, the intent has not: Welsh beer, brewed properly. A good place to start if you want something genuinely Welsh in the glass.
Tomos Watkin keep a core range going year round in bottles and kegs, so there's always a proper Welsh line-up to reach for. Dragon's Keep, Cwrw Haf, Blodwen, Magic Lagyr and Miner's Pride cover a good spread of styles between them, and if you can't pick just one there's a mixed pack full of character to try a few side by side. It's award-winning stuff, and the brewery's own line sums it up nicely: the great ales of Wales.
