The Kernel brew pale ales, dark ales, lagers and mixed fermentation beers - sometimes focused on the aromas, flavours and bitterness of hops, the complex warmth of roasted malts, the clarity of cold fermentations, or the acidity and texture of mixed fermentations. Bermondsey based, and famously sparing with words.
The Kernel's range runs from a 3% Table Beer to a hefty Imperial Russian Stout. Their Export India Porter borrows an 1890 recipe from the Truman Brewery, and elsewhere they've drawn on an 1856 Barclay Perkins beer too - part of a London brewing tradition that made the city famous for well over 200 years. The Table Beer itself set out to prove a low-alcohol beer needn't be thin or short on character.
UK mainland delivery is £8.50, free on orders over £65. They currently can't ship to Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
