Established in 2005, originally in Shere before moving to the Denbies wine estate in 2011, Surrey Hills Brewery is the brainchild of Ross Hunter. They brew real ale and nothing else, across a range of eight beers. Shere Drop has taken Champion Beer of Britain.

Surrey Hills is an independently owned, multi-award-winning brewery that sticks exclusively to real ale, sending it out to over 150 pubs across the surrounding area. The current line-up runs from the session-strength Three Peaks (3.3%) and Ranmore (3.8%) up through their flagship Shere Drop (4.2%), By the Wey (4.8%), Gilt Trip (4.6%) and the stronger Collusion at 5.2%. No frills, no flavour blurbs on the website, just a focused real ale range from a brewery that's built its name on doing that one thing properly.
