Inspired by memories of the town's brewing past, friends Tim Coombes and Mark Gloyens launched Rebellion in 1993 at a small industrial unit in Marlow Bottom, reviving a legacy that had lapsed. They've been at Bencombe Farm since 1999, and opened the Tap Yard bar on site in 2021.
Rebellion Brewery has been brewing in Marlow, Buckinghamshire since 1993, using traditional methods, the finest ingredients and local water that's naturally high in the minerals and salts that make for distinctive beer. Names include Rebellion IPA, Smuggler, Overthrow and Roasted Nuts, alongside award winners like Eclipse (gold at the International Brewing Awards) and the 0.5% Mar-Low Pale (gold at the London Beer Competition). They also run Monthly Ales, plus barrel-aged premium drops like the Belgian Quad and Baltic Porter. Pop by the tap yard for a tour, a comedy night or a pint.
