Orkney Brewery works out of a former schoolhouse at Quoyloo, about a mile from Skara Brae. Their processes use traditional methods developed and handed down through time, and they credit the purest Orcadian water for the full-flavoured ales that come out of it. There's a visitor centre on site.
Orkney Brewery's line-up runs from Dark Island and Skull Splitter to Red MacGregor, Northern Light, Island Life, Corncrake, Raven Ale, Dragonhead, Puffin, Cliff Edge and Orkney Gold: a proper spread of styles. One-offs turn up alongside them too, Clootie Dumpling and Thor's Hammer among them.
