Northbound was set up by David Rogers, a Master Brewer with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, after he and his partner spent around a decade in Australia. Using Irish ingredients and that training, they brew natural beers - unpasteurised, unfiltered, no artificial additives - and bottle them fresh on site.
Northbound Brewery keep their range small and numbered. 70 Magnum IPA is their dry-hopped, golden-coloured beer. 26 Pale Ale is described as nicely balanced, refreshing and aromatic: an easy-drinking one. And 08 Kolsch is a bright, straw-coloured beer for something crisper and simpler. Three beers, a compact line-up built around clean, drinkable styles.
