Moonwake is a modern Scottish brewery, established in 2021 by a team with extensive craft beer and brewing careers, working on the belief that there's a beer out there for everyone. They're down on the Shore at Leith in Edinburgh, with a taproom and brewery tours. The name means moonlight on water.
Their core range covers year-round beers like a 4.5% Pale Ale with a soft, velvety mouthfeel and a bold, fruit-forward hop profile - think ripe nectarine, soft apricot and a dank finish - alongside a Tropical Lager, Nelson IPA and NZ Pale. Sitting alongside that is a specials range of one-off brews, collabs and seasonal beers, including a Tropical Lager collab with Newt Brew. Their Leith Helles won Gold for Session Lager at the 2025 SIBA Regional Indie Beer Awards, and the taproom picked up Best Beer Destination at the 2023 Scottish Beer Awards.
