Congleton-raised Nick Calvert set this up in 2012 as an artisan bespoke brewery, running it alongside a textile printing business because the real ale passion would not leave him alone. It debuted at Macclesfield Beer Festival that May. Crouch, Touch, Pause and Collapsed are the beers.

They're based in Staffordshire, brewing high quality artisan ales using modern, innovative techniques. The core range is what they call 'The Original 4' (Crouch, Touch, Pause and Collapsed, all borrowing their names from Nick's rugby background and the scrum) backed up by a changing cast of Occasional Beers for anyone after something a bit different. A small, rugby-mad brewery with a proper core lineup and room to experiment round the edges.
