Started as a home-brewing hobby and turned into a business in 2020, now based on the Knepp Castle estate in West Sussex. The stated ambition is to put new-world flavours into traditional cask format: a deliberate push back against the decline of cask ale rather than an accident of taste.

Aleworks brew out of a converted old milking parlour on the Knepp Castle estate, and brewed their first batch back in October 2022. All Day Succa is their New Zealand-hopped session pale, Hoppy IPA (Maris Otter malt, Chinook and Columbus hops) is the flagship, and Tough Love pushes further into pineapple and grapefruit territory. There's a Parlour Stout with chocolate and coffee notes too, plus their first pilsner, brewed with Czech Saaz hops.
