Terms

Nothing here is designed to catch you out. It’s mostly me being clear about what this site is and, more importantly, what it isn’t.

What this site is

UK Beer Deals is a free listing of discounts that UK breweries and bottle shops are already advertising publicly on their own websites, plus a catalogue that tracks the prices of everything else those shops sell, and a comparison of beer and cider prices at the big supermarkets. I don’t sell anything, hold any stock, take any payments or handle any deliveries. Every purchase is between you and the retailer.

Prices can change: always check before you buy

Each brewery and bottle shop is checked about twice a day, each supermarket about once a day, and every deal shows the time its price was last confirmed. Between those checks a price can rise, a discount can end, or something can sell out. It happens.

The retailer’s own page is always the final word. If what you see there differs from what you saw here, the retailer is right and I’m out of date. Please do tell me when that happens. It helps me fix it.

Supermarket prices

The supermarket pages show each supermarket’s standard online price for beer and cider, with no postcode and no particular store, so the price in a shop near you, or at your own delivery address, can be different. Loyalty prices need that supermarket’s own card. “Cheapest” means cheapest of the supermarkets I check, for that pack, when I last looked, not the cheapest anywhere.

The ABV beside a price is the one that supermarket publishes where it publishes one. Where it doesn’t, or where two supermarkets contradict each other about the same drink, the figure is my own best judgement, and the price per unit is worked out from it, so treat both as a guide rather than a guarantee.

Buying in Scotland or Wales. Telling the page where you’re buying hides multi-buy offers that aren’t allowed there and marks prices that fall below the minimum price per unit of alcohol. It’s a guide, not legal advice: the rules follow the premises an order is supplied from rather than where you live, the Welsh minimum rose to 65p a unit on 1 October 2026, and what a retailer charges at its own checkout is the final word.

Mistakes

I try hard to make sure everything here is accurate, and the whole point of the site is that the discounts are real. But this is one person and an automated scraper, and neither of us is perfect. I can’t promise the site will be error-free or always available, and I can’t accept liability for a purchase you made based on something here that turned out to be wrong. Checking the retailer’s page before buying protects us both.

Breweries and shops

Listings are compiled from publicly available information on businesses’ own websites. Logos, product images and product wording belong to those businesses. Logos and images are shown to identify them, and any wording of theirs is quoted only as a short extract, credited and linked back to their own page. A listing doesn’t imply any partnership or endorsement in either direction. A shop is on here because it sells beer online and publishes its prices; pubs on the map come from public registers, and being on the map implies no link with the pub and no endorsement. The two shops I do have commercial arrangements with are covered under Money below, and it makes no difference to how they’re listed.

If you run one of these businesses and want your details corrected, updated or removed entirely, just get in touch and I’ll do it; email is fine, or use the “Is this your store?” link at the foot of every business page if that’s easier. No arguments either way.

Maps, pubs and the crawl planner

Pub addresses and opening hours on the map come from public sources and can be out of date, so check that a pub is open before you travel. The walking crawl planner gives estimates of times and routes, not guarantees. A pin on the map is not an endorsement of a pub. Please plan any crawl responsibly and look after yourself and others.

Drinking age

This site lists alcoholic drinks and is intended for people aged 18 or over. Retailers run their own age checks at the point of sale.

Favourites

Anything you favourite or save is stored in your own browser on your own device. Unless you create an account, it isn’t sent anywhere and I can’t see it. That does mean it won’t follow you to another device, and clearing your browser data will remove it; with an account, it’s kept with the account and follows you. The one exception is asking for email alerts about a shop: which shops you follow is then held with your email address, and the privacy page says what happens to it.

Accounts

An account is optional and free. You must be 18 or over to create one. Keep your email account secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you. I may close an account that is used to abuse the site. You can delete yours at any time from the account page.

Deal emails

The email roundups are optional and double opt-in: nothing is ever sent to an address until its owner clicks the confirmation link, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately, no questions asked. The weekly alerts about shops you follow work the same way.

Prices in an email were correct when it was sent and can change the same way prices on the site do; the retailer’s page is still the final word. Where an email shows a shop’s promo code, that code is the shop’s own offer under the shop’s own stated terms, so check them at the checkout. Like the rest of the site, the emails are for people aged 18 or over. The privacy page covers what’s held about you and how to have it deleted.

Promo codes

The promo codes page lists discount codes that shops have published themselves. Each one is that shop’s own offer on that shop’s own terms, so check the small print at their checkout; I can’t honour a code, extend one, or refund you if one has expired. Codes go out of date without warning, which is why there’s a button to tell me when one has stopped working. Reporting a dead code is anonymous and it genuinely helps.

Using the site

Browse it, share it, link to it: all welcome. What I’d ask you not to do is bulk-harvest the listings to rebuild the database somewhere else, or hammer the site with automated requests. The prices here are gathered carefully and politely from shops’ own public pages, and I’d like to keep it that way.

Changes

This is a site I run and keep changing. Listings, deals, promo codes and features can be added, altered or removed at any time, and these terms can change too; the date at the top tells you when they last did. Nothing here is a promise that the site will stay available, or that any particular shop or product will stay on it.

Money

The site is free to use. There’s a “Buy me a half” tip button in the header if you ever feel like chipping in; it goes to Ko-fi, it’s entirely optional, and tipping (or not) changes nothing about what you see here.

Two of the shops listed here have affiliate arrangements with me, through the affiliate networks Awin and Adtraction. Where a link from this site is one of theirs, I’m paid a commission by that shop if you buy after clicking through. It costs you nothing extra: the price you pay is the price you’d have paid going direct. I also earn a flat fee if you join CAMRA through the link on the CAMRA page, also via Adtraction.

It has no bearing on what you see. Which products are tracked, which of them qualify as deals, and the order they appear in are decided by the same rules for every shop on the site, paying or not; deals are ranked on value (depth of discount, cash saved, freshness) regardless of who they’re with. No shop can buy a listing, a ranking or a mention here, and none has been offered one. The privacy page explains what those networks record when you click, and what you can do about it.

Getting in touch

[email protected], or @uk_beer_deals on X, or the UK Beer Deals page on Facebook. If you run a shop listed here and want your entry changed or taken down, email me and I’ll sort it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
