Pillars is a specialist lager brewery based in Walthamstow, established in 2016 by a team of family and close friends. They reckon it was the first independent lager brewery in London - a niche worth carving out in a city that was busy going all-in on hoppy pale ale at the time.
Pillars' flagship Haus Lager (3.5% ABV) is "award-winning", and they've brewed a Festbier alongside it. They turn out one-offs too, including a "collaboration with Wood Street Coffee". Simple, lager-led brewing, proudly rooted in E17, worth a look whether you're after an everyday pint or something more occasional.
