Mash Gang was founded in 2020 by four friends, starting out as an experiment in a shipping container. It brews non-alcoholic beer at 0.5%, with Jordan as head brewer, and pointedly does not sell itself as a wellness product. Alcohol-free beer that behaves like proper beer.
Mash Gang specialise entirely in alcohol-free beer, and they're clear that's not the same as taking a full-strength beer and stripping the alcohol out afterwards: theirs is built alcohol-free from the start, with 100% natural ingredients, low calories and zero added sugar. The line-up covers a lot of ground: Chug, a tropical hazy IPA loaded with mango, passionfruit and grapefruit; Journey Juice, a zesty fruited hazy IPA; Glug, a crisp golden cerveza lager; and Lesser Evil, a rich, dark cherry chocolate stout. All four sit at 0.5% ABV.
