In 2014 Lee Hammerton traded a career in IT for independent brewing, reviving a London family legacy going back to the 1950s. The brewery sits in Islington with a taproom on site, and there is a pub too, the House of Hammerton on Holloway Road.
Independent, multicultural and family-run, Hammerton's been brewing in London since 2014, spending over a decade getting their craft right. The core range covers a lot of ground (Panama Creature Session IPA, TUNED Hazy Pale Ale, GROLL Pilsner, N7 IPA and CRUNCH Peanut Butter Stout among them) plus Zed, their alcohol-free Pale Ale, for anyone cutting back. Alongside the regulars they run seasonal releases too, so it's worth checking what's just landed as well as sticking with the classics.
