Established in 2001 in Aviemore, right in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park: about as scenic an address as British brewing offers. A twenty-barrel brewhouse turning out up to 6,500 litres a day, which is a serious operation for a Highland village.
The range mixes traditional Scottish recipes (Black Gold, Wildcat and Stag) with more contemporary brews like Cairngorm Gold and Cairngorm IPA. Black Gold has serious pedigree too: it was named Overall UK Supreme Champion back in 2009. A proper Highlands brewery with old favourites and newer additions sitting side by side.
