Beowulf Brewing recently changed hands: Phil, who had been at the helm for 25 years, has handed over to new owner Joe. You will find them on the shore of Chasewater near Brownhills in Staffordshire, carrying on a well-established real ale tradition.
Beowulf's flagship dark ale, Dark Raven, is brewed with pale, black and crystal malts and hopped with Fuggles - smoked malt aroma with liquorice, espresso coffee, dark chocolate and burnt fruit, plus creamy coffee, dark fruit and roasted grain, and it's picked up numerous awards over the years. The flagship pale ale, Wulf, is golden and hoppy with a hint of grapefruit and passionfruit, single-hopped for a crisp, refreshing beer.
