Independent pub · London
Town of Ramsgate is a traditional pub on the Thames in Wapping, east London. The pub says it has stood beside Wapping Old Stairs since 1545, and calls itself the oldest pub on the river. Its interior is Grade II listed, and CAMRA rates it as of special national historic interest, with a long narrow bar and fittings little changed since 1937. There is a beer garden by the river. The menu has plenty of homemade classics, and children and dogs are welcome.
