The White Bear in Kennington says it has been steeped in history since 1780. It is a Grade II listed early Victorian pub with its own theatre, run by Young's, and it keeps its original wooden bar. Real ales and craft beers are served, and regulars include St Austell Proper Job and Young's London Original. The food runs to British pub classics and Sunday roast dinners with seasonal trimmings, plus vegan specials. There is a pub garden with beehives. The Oval Cricket Ground and Kennington Station are a short walk away.
