Independent pub · Canterbury
The Unicorn Inn in Canterbury says it was first built in 1593 as a house for Robert Budden. CAMRA rates its interior as of special national historic interest, with one star on its National Inventory. Five handpumps include one for real cider, and there is bar billiards and a good range of bottled beers and low or zero alcohol drinks. Inside are a wealth of beams and a woodburner. The garden is a little sun trap tucked away in Westgate, with a covered area. Dogs are welcome, and a quiz is held on Sunday evenings.
