Independent pub · London
The Star of Bethnal Green is a pub on Bethnal Green Road in London. It calls itself anything but a traditional East End boozer, and a vibrant LGBTQIA+ haven. The pub serves locally brewed beers, and CAMRA lists one changing beer. It has five karaoke rooms, each with its own theme, and a downstairs bar. The pub also offers drink tastings, masterclasses, DJ sets and drag bingo. Its kitchen is run by visiting street food residents. CAMRA says it began life as the White Hart, a former Truman pub.
