The Ship is a small, friendly locals' pub in Rotherhithe, with a beer garden at the rear and seating outside the front. Cask ale is served, and regulars include Young's London Original, with changing beers that typically include Sharp's Doom Bar and Timothy Taylor Landlord. The pub standing here was built in the first quarter of the 20th century, though there has been a Ship Inn on the site since at least the early 19th century. Until 1985 one side of the building was signed as the Great Eastern. The menu is pub classics, and the pub is dog friendly, with board games.
