The Rising Sun is an independent community pub on Alfred Road in Windmill Hill, Bristol. It says it pours the best of Bristol's brewing scene, naming New Bristol Brewery, Moor, Bristol Beer Factory, Wiper and True, and Lost and Grounded, on cask and keg. Real cider is also served. There is a large refurbished garden, a sheltered courtyard, and an outside mural. Regular events include open mic nights and Bandeoke, which the pub describes as karaoke with a live band. It is also available for private hire. The pub sits at the top of a steep hill, with internal access all on one level.
