Independent pub · Manchester
Red Lion is a Grade II listed 17th century inn in Withington, Manchester, listed by CAMRA as the oldest pub in Withington. It is a JW Lees pub, and the bar is stocked with cask ales, including Manchester Pale Ale and JW Lees Bitter. The interior runs from a low-ceilinged vault at the front to a larger bar and a conservatory. Out back is a beer garden, on a former bowling green. The pub calls itself a modern take on a traditional local, with seasonal food and a Sunday roast. Dogs are always welcome.
