Independent pub · Hove
The Paris House is a French-styled cafe-bar on the Brighton-Hove border, with live music at its core. Performances range from gypsy jazz to Cuban, rock, blues and swing. There is a monthly quiz night, a monthly jazz jam and a fortnightly open-mic night, with DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. The pub says all its staff are musicians too. The building was formerly the Western Hotel, whose name still appears on the wall. Platters of food for sharing are served, along with French wines and a wide selection of European beers and ciders.
