Independent pub · London
The Lamb Tavern is a pub in Leadenhall Market, in the City of London, between Liverpool Street, Bank and Monument stations. The pub says it dates back as far as 1780, and CAMRA gives the same date for the present pub. CAMRA rates its interior as of special national historic interest, noting a tiled panel from 1889 showing Sir Christopher Wren. Young's bought it in 1985, and the basement bar, Old Tom's, offers the same real ales. Beers typically include Young's London Special and Winter Warmer. The first-floor restaurant overlooks the market.
